I believe it was in the fall of 2019 that I accepted the offer to write the weekly Ahrex blog. That means that I’ve probably written over 250 blogs on so many different subjects. I’ve covered so many subjects, flies, different fisheries, styles of fishing, species and much more.
On some subjects I’ve drawn on my own experience and knowledge and on others, I’ve been fortunately to be able to draw upon others, to use pictures, to interview anglers from near and far and often Søren “Dr. Hook” Flarup and I have come up with subjects together. In some cases I’ve even been lucky enough to have others write, so all I had to do was a little proof reading and maybe a little adaptation to the blog format.
250 blogs is a lot and the time has come for me to sign off. I know I won’t miss the weekly calls with Søren, because they’ll still be there. I’m grateful that I remain connected to Ahrex Hooks, but in another capacity. I can already let you know that I will be writing (at least) one more blog, hopefully soon, on some product news that are near and dear to my heart.
250 blogs obviously say that I’ve had a lot to say. I want to thank Morten and Søren for the opportunity to have the Ahrex blog as an outlet. I’ll also say a big thank you to all those who’ve helped in so many ways and, most importantly I think, a few friendships formed that I know will last.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my musings now and then and if you have, thank you so much for reading!
The blog will continue, but in another format, which you’ll know about soon enough.
