Fish it well – a strong message from Simms

FIW_Instagram_Feed_Lake_600x600Launching a campaign that showcase your products in a favourable way isn’t that hard, especially if you happen to produce stuff that is widely considered to be state of the art. These campaigns are launched regularly from companies in the angling business.

Ole & Malthe 18-11-01But some manufactures choose another approach, showcasing not primarily the product, but the magic moments that happens out there: on the banks, in the cabin or waist deep in clear water. You know those seconds where you hold your breath and all things comes to a standstill – while that trout leaps from the water, you hug a dear friend, you freeze your butt of chasing winter steelhead and get rewarded, you guide a friend to the catch of a lifetime or a child to the very first catch. All those moments that sends you down Memory Lane – and creates shivers, joy and sheer happiness.

IMG_2136Simms, the Bozeman Montana based manufacturer of state of the art handmade waders, has just launched a campaign, that does all that and more. Simms has a knack for authentic storytelling, that rings true to their customers… and just touch hearts. And this campaign certainly sends a simple but strong message.

“Every moment we spend on the water should always be cherished and savoured – and never taken for granted. At Simms, we’ve come to realize that fishing isn’t a pastime. It’s not a hobby. And it’s not a sport. Fishing is our way of life. And we firmly believe we all owe it to ourselves to make as much time as possible to do the things we truly live for.  After all, you get one life.” #FishItWell.

Statement from Simms

Enjoy the video and experience for yourself. I’m sure you get the same feeling I did watching it. I just wanted to leave the desk and get on the water as fast as I’d finished writing this blog post. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

Have a nice weekend, and fish it well :0)
