A great way to build up anticipation, cure the cabin fever (or boost it) and meet friends that are just as crazy about angling as yourself, is to go to some of the angling shows, that seems to be everywhere in the late winter and spring.
When we design new hooks, we try to do our research up front. That means checking out what’s already on the market? What works great – and what sucks. And how can we improve on already existing designs. And in all these tasks, we try to get the help from creative and innovative fly tiers.

Today we’ve chosen to direct the spotlights upon a Danish fly tier, that actually now lives just south of the Danish-German border, together with his German wife and two kids.
Sandeels are long slender baitfish that inhabit sandy and gravely coastal environments. They gather in large shoals and can hide in the sand, while resting. When they do swim though, they are agile and super fast.
Claus Eriksen tied this beautiful sandeel flatwing fly- with our NS182 trailer hook hidden in the wing. Perfect for those large silvery sandeel hunting trout.
