Now it’s time for one of the most important events on the British fly fishing scene. British Fly Fair International is held in association with Fly Fishing and Fly Tying – and naturally we will be there along with anyone else the European fly tackle business.
Perch is one of the most popular freshwater gamefish in Scandinavia. At least for all-round anglers. Among fly fishermen though, trout, salmon and grayling reign as the classy targets, with the rich legacy of tradition, fly patterns and tons of classic literature.
Another year has gone by. Here at Ahrex Hooks the 2018 season turned out great… starting out with the introduction of the Freshwater series. 3.5 million fly hooks touched down in the headquarter in January, and created a controlled chaos for a couple of weeks.
Another season is slowly transforming from memories and adding another layer of experience. It’s been a strange season on most of the northern hemisphere – with an extreme dry and warm summer. In Scandinavia we had wildfires and rivers running low and way to hot.
2018 is running deep into the backing right now, and today the blog is looking into… well, the blog. This is number 132. We haven’t missed one single Friday since day one.
